Using a new program, many people can become confused quite easily. Every program is written in a different way. This section's purpose is to assist new users in setting up tkMOO for use within the HippoMOO environment, and MOO's in general.

Local Editing

Okay, the first thing you need to do, is set the actual MOO to ship the text to edit, to the local client. this is done by simply typing the following command into your client:

   @edit-o +local

Now that that is done, you should get a confirmation message, that reads something similar to the line below:

   +local    Ship text to client for local editing.

Okay - the next setting must be followed carefully, if the final product is to actually work...
